After discussion with both Tic and Donnie, I have been given the privilege(with their help)to host Voobly's first ever Mod competition!
We are leaving this competition quite broad in hope to find alot of really cool additions and/or changes to the game. You may compete in this competition as an individual or as a team. With a modding team you can make much larger mods with a variety of skills. If you have a good graphic artist you can have someone make the graphics, another work on the language files and yet another the .dat (mod files themselves). And if you have yet another person one member could work on a scenario that the mod could be used for, if that is what you have in mind for your mod.
Modding is not super difficult and with enough dedication and some reading I am positive people in this community can make some really cool mods. Here are some links to help you out.

messing with the genie editor us quite fun. I'm making a map at the moment in my bored moments. I might look at expanding that project.
Thanks for your response. The idea of this thread is to make people interested in modding and also for some new mods to be created. By creating a competition the idea is that many individuals and teams will come forward out of this.
I have some questions:
1) Is it necessary to make changes in graphics?
2) Is it compulsory to add a scenario to the mod(I think i understand the reason of including a scenario but still.)
Well thats it for now.

Perfect timing for me to check this!, No it is absolutely not compulsory to change the graphics in the mod although It is allowed but not needed. Also you do not need a scenario, the only reason I suggested the scenario idea is if one would make a mod that was designed for a scenario. But it is definitely not needed.
