Hi everyone!

I've been planning a AoFE tournement for almost a month now. At start the idea waas to just make a small tournement to get some games going, but the the ambitions has grown since then.

I've talked abit with the guys at Aoczone and they wanted me to delay the tournement untill their next tournement is done to give my tournement more attention. The plan is to stick with to that schedule, which gives me plenty of time to plan all the details.

Please feed me with suggestions and ideas.

Name for the tourney: I need a cool suggestion here.

Format of the tourney:

In the first stage, every player is placed into groups of four. All play each other regular round robin format, which means that every player in the group would face every other player once. In total 3 matchups for each player.

This is played just like the first stage in football (soccer) world cup.

The next stage(s) is open for suggestions.

Match format:

Every matchup in the group stage is best of 3

First game: Every round will have its own FE Map for G1, randomly drawn or chosen by the organizer.
Second game: Loser's home map
Third game (if needed): Winner's home map

You can pick whatever civ you want in all three games.

Map pool for home map:

Acropolis
Arabia
Arena
Cenotes
Fortress (Regicide)
Ghost lake
Golden pit
Hideout
Steppe
Valley
Yucatan

You can't pick a map that has allready been played that matchup.

Game setting rules:

Game type: Random map (Regicide if Fortress is picked)
Map: Arabia/Home map
Size: Tiny
Resources: Standard
Population: 200 (250 maybe)
Speed: Normal/locked
Reveal Map: Standard
Starting Age: Standard
Victory: Conquest
Teams: Locked
Record Game: ON!!!
Cheats: DISABLED!
All techs: DISABLED!

Any idea on the date we can expect it to happen??

It will be after AocZone is done with their next tourney. They adviced me to do it this way so my tourney wont be overshadowed be theirs.

Anyone making a nice banner to promote this??

Before we can make a new banner, we'll need a name for the tournement.
Me and my friend thought about it for a while and came up with the name "Reminder of the Forgotten" as a good subtitle. But I still have no good ideas for the main title.

I've also talked with a guy who wants to donate for the tourney. I've no clue about how to use paypal for that so I would like some help set that up.

About the name, what about "Masters Of AOFE RM" ?

Using paypal is not that hard, you only have to create an account, then the donators only need your email adress to be able to donate.

You spread the money to the tournament winners the same way. Then they can transfer the money from their paypal account to their bank account.

I find "Master of AoFE RM" abit too simple for my taste.

I've settled that I will call it:

World Dominance League

It was not my idea, but I like it. It has several meanings as well.

I got no skills in bannermaking, so If someone else could do that it would be great.

The Aoczone tourney is scheduled to end in September so I'll guess this tourney will start then.

I still want to do this, but I've just started on a new school and im pretty much occupied 90% of my time. But I hope that those 10 % that i got left should be enough to host this tourney.

My Internet is terrible though, I can't watch streams at all here.

The state of AoFE has also changed alot since June. I doubt that there will be a free 2.3 version of AoFE, and i guess it will be hard to include the brand new userpatch observer mode into this as well.
This sux hard, but the 2.2 version is more than good enough.

There are many ways to pull this off, I have no format in mind at the moment that i wish to see. I just want to give this mod some competetive attention, because i really think that these new maps and civs can generate some entertaining and unique recs.
