Voobly presents a new Challenge format: the Voobly TV BO5 Challenges !
The concept is quite simple:
Each week, 2 players will play a BO5 on various settings. The maps will depend on both player's agreement or will be decided by an open public poll. If the players cannot agree on the game settings then the Viewers will decide what is played. The weeks challenge players will be announced by Katsuni. Then posted in this forum and on the Voobly Stream Schedule in advance.
The Winner will get a "Voobly TV BO5 Challenge x1" Shield and will have to defend this title versus 4 other different opponents for 5 weeks.
After each victory the winner's shield will be changed to match his streak (from x1 to x2 ... etc). After a loss, he will keep his shield forever and it will be the new winner's turn to defend his title for 5 weeks.
After 5 consecutive victories, the champion will get a "Voobly TV BO5 Champion x5" shield and 3 months gold membership, and then 2 new players will start this again.
The games will be played in vUP mode and streamed by Katsuni or one of the Voobly Official Streamers with hopefully a commentator. All games will be streamed on the Official Voobly Channel
These challenges will not be restricted to expert players: the BO5 challenge has 2 categories
Voobly TV BO5 Challenges will run from Sunday to Sunday.
Player's can schedule times and days themselves but we must know 3 days in advance so we can advertise the next game and also organize a streamer / commentator
Player's can enter themselves in this challenge by simply posting " Challenge Accepted " 1v1 2k or 1v1 Any, if we have multiple players then we will run a very quick poll to see who get's the top vote to play that week.
1v1 2k+ Shields:
1v1 Any Challenger Shields:

Also since in DM everyone pretty much plays GA or Michi, maybe we could allow 2 Home Civs instead of 2 Home Maps? And if it's a GA vs. Michi player then the players can use one of their Home Civ choices as a Home Map choice instead, but in that case the Civ would be Mirrored or Team Random... only way I can think to make it fair at the moment.
^ it would be nice if a few select players from DM, RM and CS could book into the official voobly live stream (with it being automated). I would be willing to typically stream a few of my DM Michi games on one or two days between 7pm to 9pm BST (up to 10pm or cutoff/transfer at 9pm).
Also the voobly stream should be in the main links on the website (buttons across the top).
If both players agree to it then the Gold Relic mod should be allowed to be utilised (it should be cabable of being used with the User Patch but i am unsure about the latest UP Version) either elusive might have to do something or a simple change will have to be made. Ofcourse I will have to get off of my own lazy ass and get it properly tested, but Katsuni was talking about how one player trade would be awesome and this is what this mod is all about (otherwise for 1v1 you'll be left with same civs or extremely handicapped advantages without gold).
^ I will put it up for review so it can be placed in the official list of voobly mods.
