VCOM presents ViCiouS: Champion of Bloods
This will be a two day event, where players will battle for a prize of $250.00. The first day will be a qualification stage where anyone may participate. The dates are TBA. Qualification stage and Finals stage will be held on separate weekends.
This is a winner takes all event. If this tournament is successful, which means it's up to YOU guys, the community, to make it a success, there will be future tournaments of this nature using similar and different maps. Do not ask for CB maps to be added, the funds come directly from my own pocket, and I will allow only the maps I wish to see as a member of the community.
Format:
Players will play a double elimination best of three format in the qualification stages. There will be a pool of maps where each player may choose a map of their preference. The first map will always be Khans Blood 4p Map. Khans will be played as a best of three, swapping positions each game.
Note. If a decider is required, fastest winning time from previous two Khans matches will select positions for decider. The next map is the losers home map. If a decider is required for the overall set, the last losing player will select their home map. Home maps will not be played as best of three, in order to save time.
How double elimination works: The first time you lose a set versus another player, you will be effectively placed in a 'second chance' bracket. Lose another set and you are eliminated from the tournament.
The top 4 overall (those who make semi finals) will go through to the finals stage on the following weekend. Along with these four players, there will be four invited guest players. They will be a member nominated by their fellow clan mates from the following clans; ViCiouS, Eot_, XceL and XZ. If one of these clans decline the invite, 7th and then LC will be invited. If these two also decline, a community member will be nominated by myself to fill any player spaces. [Recommended the clans start discussing this on their private forums]
Brackets will be hidden until you submit your map choices for each round before the Qualification stages of the tournament begins. You are not allowed to change the map preferences, even if both players agree to do so. If there is a compelling case to do so, you must seek permission from a VCOM staff member. This is to prevent players from picking maps they know their opponent is weak in to get easy wins.
The second day will be the finals stage. Finals stage will run as so:
Electable maps:
Germs
Smosh
Veterans
Dome
Radical (Qualification Stage only)
Gwarz - Mirror Random (Finals Stage only)
Spider 1v1 Map(Finals Stage only)
Graves - Huns (Finals Stage only)
Herofest - Turks (Finals Stage only)
NOTE. Maps subject to changes before official announcement.
Rules:
Remember, this tournament is about enjoying CS and showcasing maps besides CBA. Don't be the guy who ruins the fun for everybody by deterring people like myself from providing future cash based tournaments for CS.
Sign-ups - A separate announcement thread will be created within the week where sign-ups will be taken down. Do not sign up in this thread, this is an information and discussion thread.
Map Rules TBA
Prizes:
1st - $250.00 + 1st Place Trophy
2nd - Premium + 2nd Place Trophy
3rd - Gold + 3rd Place Trophy
Date TBA (June-July 2014 - Sundays)
Spectating:
Community may spectate any game they wish to watch. The only exception is if a popular Streamer has been given permission to stream a certain match-up, and community will need to watch the stream in order to follow the match. At this stage, there are no streamers for the event yet.
We hope you guys will enjoy the games, and we hope to see many participate and showcase the other side of CS. Hopefully we might see some old familiar faces make a comeback for the event. Best of luck to those who get involved. This is the first installment, more events of this nature will follow if we make this a success
If you have any questions or do not understand the settings or rules, ask in this thread and they will be answered as soon as possible.
Very nice setup. Probably people will go mad on it.
@Maps Those maps are good to test a players true skills atleast not being a CBA.
No Amendment needed from my side upto what I have read and understood.
Instead of having a separate warriors of blood tourney, you can change its name to this and organize this, I am sure who ever signed up for that will be interested in playing in this as well.
Good job..

Good job..
I meant we can do Vicious:Champion of Blood instead of Warriors of blood.. (and not the other way round)
There is no harm in integrating the two I believe..
The warrior of blood can be a more casual experience.
Can we market it as the 'Summer of Blood'
I think that has a cool ring to it :p
We can roll with anikets tourney, then you announce this. Then I can run a 2v2 tourney to get peoples appetites whetted even more and see if activity grows.
I am only awaiting a banner and trophies to be made before I announce. I changed the set up a little, take a look and give some feedback.
Speaking with Sean, I am interested in doing the same sort of thing in a clans stage too. I will act according to the success or lack of this tournament undergoes.
Please mention in rules that games will be played in tourney Lobby and spectators won't be allowed ,as suggested by Barry,Genette ,Taff and same rule is used in RM tourneys.

The reason it works in RM is because the games are scheduled in the week and are offset from one another. This event is a one day for quals, one day for final stage kind of event. Plus CS hasn't established a quality streaming team that people want to watch yet. So I will allow spectating, otherwise I'll withdraw my funds and time in organizing this event. End of story.
