I feel like this place is falling apart again..
Plz dont do any more tournaments in a haste almost all recent tournaments have failed horribly (My personal opinion).
why dont we make this all a bit more organised..

Whoever wants to organize a tournament post in the committee (some people do it some don't) and members give a +1 or -1 with reaons and then we proceed on with it taking into account all the suggestions..Proper rules are to be framed for any tourney and the announcements are to be made atleast 2 weeks in advance. And better lets stick to 1 day or 2 day events for now. ( Most of this are followed even now but make it strict).

And I also think, like Ben pointed out, that there are lots of guys here just for namesake..We got to have a well structured committee first

The tournaments failings are possibly not due to lack of debate that was just because of a bit ease over promotion.Possible reasons of previous failed tournies:

CBA 1v1Started like rocket and was very successfull in first half. But as time progressed people lacked interest and it failed even after participation of 33 players. So, the reason was strecthed timings.

CBA 2v2eh! 2v2 not to built to have a scheduling tournies and moreover it failed of the loose promotion and strecthed CBA schedule.

2v2 BloodsServer failure

@At inactivity , probably sparatan and jack not showing that active response over forums nor on events. This tourney http://vooblycommittee.voobly.com/forum/thread/192481 . Discussion thread made and they forgot lol. Better warn them as i see them online all time playing 1X1 same civ.

@At VCOm structure: As ben said that now VCOM have loosed its good internal structure . Their are lot of inactive members in list and flooded ranks. Only 5 ranks necessary

VCOM RM is not in our job description lol. Thats a whole different beast.

The scheduled tournaments failed due to community habits :/ The whole MoC was an ambitious project and at least we learned some things about the community.


Ben can talk all he wants about people not deserving positions but hes the most questionable of all the advisors or promoters.It does look like jack has stopped doing stuff so he will be on a warning. Spartans does talk and help me brainstorm ideas so hes still doing his job as far as I'm concerned.

Finally, I don't think we should do anything but one night tournaments anymore.

I always say it but the key to CS is never stop trying. Most things will fail due to community habits. In this case I suggest opening a discussion thread for the community to get feedback.

this might sound dumb..but how about this
Make 2 groups within VCOM - one led by barry and one by Ben(taking current events into account),say 5-6 guys per team and the leader assigns specific roles to each member and lets see how we can do things better and have a competition among ourselves (keeping in mind that the ulterior motive is the same)..No one outside the committeee need to know this.
dont bring RM and DM into the equation now..

+1 and -1 only work with more number of members. and as barry said we should just keep trying irrespective of results. so just discussing over how to make a tourney better will be better than giving plus and minus..

How about we concentrate on 1 tourney at a time. And i like the CS Clans thingy Aniket and to make it more interesing how about we add bloods maps to it.
