Tournament Format

Players will play a double elimination best of three format in the qualification stages. There will be a pool of maps where each player may choose a map of their preference. The first map will always be Khans Blood 4p Map. Khans will be played as a best of three, swapping positions each game.

Note. If a decider is required, fastest winning time from previous two Khans matches will select positions for decider. The next map is the losers home map. If a decider is required for the overall set, the last losing player will select their home map. Home maps will not be played as best of three, in order to save time.

How double elimination works: The first time you lose a set versus another player, you will be effectively placed in a 'second chance' bracket. Lose another set and you are eliminated from the tournament.

Brackets will be hidden until you submit your map choices for each round before the Qualification stages of the tournament begins. You are not allowed to change the map preferences, even if both players agree to do so. If there is a compelling case to do so, you must seek permission from a VCOM staff member. This is to prevent players from picking maps they know their opponent is weak in to get easy wins.

Rules

Camping will not be tolerated. Games will allow spectating, as this will allow Admin to apply sanctions and punish those intentionally not following the rules.
You will not bring the tournament into disrepute. This includes and is not limited to; bad sportsmanship, intentional lagging, communications abuse in or out of game, giving misleading information.
VCOM Admin are in their right to judge whether you are following rules, and act accordingly on their judgement. This includes warning and/or excluding you from this and future tournaments for not respecting our rules.
You are not to delete razings, regardless of if they are partially built or not.
You may delete units; however, you may not do so if it involves you avoiding fighting in order to do so.
You WILL NOT abuse Administration over their rulings or how they conduct the tournament. If you have issues, you will refer directly to myself, Taff or the appropriate Head Admin online at the time.
You are allowed one pause per game minimum. No longer than 5 minutes. You will not unpause the game if you did not initiate the pause. If the player who paused does not respond within 5 minutes, seek tournament Admin to deal with the situation. We hope common courtesy and common sense will prevail.

Remember, this tournament is about enjoying CS and showcasing maps besides CBA. Don't be the guy who ruins the fun for everybody by deterring people like myself from providing future cash based tournaments for CS.
