Hi guys! I'm so sorry about the inconvenience. Never meant this to happen but i logged into Voobly through my mobile. Something is wrong with my laptop and I will get it back tomorrow. So as soon as I get it , I will schedule the rounds and we can finish it off. I'm really sorry about this
Major issues: the tournament's host doesn't answer, the bracket isn't on the first post of THIS topic, the bracket changed 3 times in an hour before the scheduled games,...
Maybe most of you are ok with that, but since it was my first tournament, I found it very messy, having to check many different pages/hidden links to get the info I needed. And, of course, no answer from my opponents. In round 3 or 4 (Idk now) without playing any game...

This will all change in the future tournaments. For now, we really would like to finish this. I'd ask that everyone who has an opponent lined up in the brackets please contact them and try to schedule the games by this weekend, and if you don't hear from them please let us know. I'll try to work on contacting those who have pairings and ask them to schedule their games. Please also post in the VCOM forum labelled scheduling asking for your opponents to give or accept times to play there so that we have some sort of verification that you've attempted to play your games in the event your opponent doesn't respond.
This goes out to everyone. I'd really like to wrap this tournament up by the end of January so we'll be all set for the 2015 tournaments. I apologize for the disorganization we've had thus far but hopefully this was a one time thing and we'll get this all ironed out here and finish the tournament. I look forward to seeing the recorded games!
So to recap: Check [You must login to view link], if you see you have an opponent to play, please write in the scheduling forum labeling your name and your opponent and give three different times to play. Then message your opponent and link them to that thread. I will likewise try to message all players who have opponents to play. If I see no responses by Thursday from people who's opponents have written in the scheduling forum with times I will let Slash know and you'll be advanced to the next round. Lets get playing people!
Below are the list of players in the tournament who have opponents they need to schedule and play with. I will monitor the forum in the scheduling games sections on VCOM to see if any of these players are attempting to play their matches. If I see no response from either one or both players by Saturday 00:00 GMT I will tell Slash to cancel the match and advance either the part who made an attempt to play by posting in the scheduling forum of VCOM to arrange a time to play their opponent or forfeit both parties if neither made an attempt. We want to get these matches played asap and finish this tournament before the 2015 tournaments begin. Please remember to post in the scheduling VCOM forum with your name and your opponent's name in the title and offer at least three different times to play. Then message your opponent and link them to that thread of yours and wait for them to respond IN THE FORUM. Thanks!
should've just sent them a PM since clearly not many people read the forums
I guess I expect participants who have signed up for a tournament to be partially accountable for completing their games or at least checking in the forum where they signed up for a tournament they knew wasn't completed to see what was going on. Slash had his computer down for a couple weeks which didn't help concerning this tournament either. A few weeks ago I had sent VM's to several players who were needing to complete their games and received either no response or a response basically stating they forfeit and to let the other guy go through. It's been almost a month since this tournament started and I think the only games played were the games on the day it started. It's possible the participants have mostly lost interest now.
Right now I'm focusing on the upcoming 2015 tournaments which I plan to be heavily involved in and run as smoothly as possible. The first one is now ready for sign ups here. I encourage everyone who'd like to play to first read the new AoK DM rules for VCOM tournaments and to meet one of the three eligibility requirements and sign up as soon as they can. I will make sure that any future AoK DM tournament is run on schedule and completed in a timely way so for any doubters please give VCOM a second chance and lets have some good games and a fun competition!
