So we have had all but two match-ups so far in the group stage for TIW. We have also had a number of match-ups for the bronze league.
Current Standings - Group Stage
Match Scores - Group Stage
Current Standings - Bronze League
Match Scores - Bronze League
As you can see so far, the top two spots have already been determined in Group A, Group B. and the Bronze league. However, the #1 spot in each group is still up for grabs. ViCiouS and 7th are both trailing 1 point behind Xcel and EoT respectively. Epic is also only 1 point behind DMz.
What does this mean?
It means that whoever wins the sets in the coming week will win the groups since the tiebreaker will be solved by the past win/loss record vs that particular clan. So even if EoT are tied 17-17 they would come in 2nd place since 7th would have won the set 4-3.
Going forward, the winners of each group will face the second place clan from the other group.
Either Epic or DMz will be crowned the bronze league winner after their set, with a medal being awarded to that clan and an automatic position in the main group of next year's TIW tournament.
Silver League Match-ups
DSyR, IC, Flz, and Dv8 finished in the last two spots of their groups and will now fight for the Silver League title. I think Dv8 are the heavy favorites going into these match-ups, having been the only non-seeded team to take more than 1 point in the group stage. However, this week's matches will paint a clearer picture of how these clans stack up against each other, as they still have to play the final matches of their groups.
Everything will become clearer once the matches next weekend conclude. Until then, you keep it classy voobly.
You gonna do these recaps after every matchup for the upcoming ones? think its a cool idea.
