I am new to Voobly. I played AOE2 from it today morning from our campus provided internet connection. I played for a complete 5 hours with absolutely no problem.
Since afternoon, I can't connect using the voobly client anymore. I tried following the advice in the pinned as well as other general connectivity posts. Nothing worked.
Our Campus WiFi has a decent firewall setup for the students. I checked for the 2300-2400 TCP/UDP ports from [You must login to view link] and found them inaccessible. My question is how was I able to play earlier then? Or, am I missing something?
Also, I use Psiphon3 to bypass the campus WiFi firewall restrictions. Can I use the same to access voobly if the network firewall is the problem?
Please guide.
Thanks!
you need port 16000udp. the ports you mention above are not need here but would be in an ip game.
I tried opening port 16000 UDP, but, neither the voobly client connects nor does the [You must login to view link] access port 16000.
i can only think the campus f/wall is the problem.
