Does it happen in every game you play?

Have you tried to play the game in single player mode (from within Voobly)?

You may have an unstable connection. Run a speedtest on [You must login to view link] and post your results here.

Please ensure that your game room settings are exactly like this:
[You must login to view link]
You can verify this by hosting a game room in any lobby

Speedtest results are as follows:
[You must login to view link]
So Download: 39.93 Mbps, Upload: 18.95 Mbps

It seems i cant host in any lobby, it throws the 'Lost connection' error pop-up and then closes when i click Cancel. I'm new tho, and haven't played on Voobly yet, and also never hosted either, so it would be my first. How can i play single-player?

hi
as your new here a few general points to check:
the game [aok/aoc] installed from the cd's like this:
Quote:
The game installed similar to this for XP/ Vista/ Win7/Win10.32 bit:
C:Program files/Microsoft Games/Age Of Empires11/

The game installed similar to this for Vista/ W7/ W8/ Win10. 64 bit.
C:Program files[86]/Microsoft Games/Age Of Empires11/
install the game as admin, in compatibility mode for xpsp3.

you need to allow the game/voobly through your pc firewall. only one active pc firewall.
frpm options at the top of a lobby, after doing the above, do the network/game diagnostics and show here.
to play single at voobly, enter a game room, from the game tab you tick "single player" then launch.
does your game run ok completely off of voobly?

Yeah i believe the problem is with the fact that the game is down a different path in my program files. I got the game from a friend years back, (Gold Edition) installed it on my laptop which back then i believe was Vista. It always worked great tho, played just fine and we could always LAN, so if it's only because of the directory where the game is that this issue exists, thats a shame... should i move it?

Network diagnostics:
Test Result: All Pass
Network Health: All tests passed
Recommended Action: None
Details: All tests passed.

Game diagnostics throws the error message.

Yeah cant enter games either, must be because of where my files are located? I tried installing the userpatch but it threw some error too, likely because my aoe2 game is down a different path in the files than what it should (Program files/Microsoft Games/Age Of Empires11/ ?)
Edit: My AoC is down C:>Old computer>Program Files>Age of Empires II Gold Edition

you would need to install it again not just move.
what did the game diagnostic say?
you do not need to install the UP, voobly will do that automatically

Game diagnostic gives the Game installation problem has been detected-error. So its not in the correct directory?
Non-DirectPlay game path is 'c:\program files (x86)\steam\SteamApps\common\Age2HD'
Verifying 'ebueulax.dll' exists...
ebueulax.dll was not found in its proper place.

Your version of the game is not compatible with Voobly.

You must install the most recent 1.0c compatibility pack for Age2HD

Click Yes to have Voobly install the patch for you.

I tried earlier installing the UP but didnt get far with it since it didnt start (probably because of the game files being down wrong path)
