i know there are like million of threads with the same problem, but i just can't get it done and need help, on how to do it right.
It's so frustrating everytime i think i have managed it to do it, i try to play a game and then after like 30-45minutes i get get the "Lost fast proxy connection" problem.
So i will tell you what i had done so far:
-Let firewall ignore aoe/aoc exe
-set up new rule in firewall programm to forward port 16000 (here i'm not sure if i have done it right, but i will attached a screenshot)
-set up port 16000 in voobly
First screenshot:
Blue circled= let firewall ignore it
red arrow= forward port
the problem is that if i try to check if the port is open with the "Port Forward Network Utilities" program it tells me my port is not forwarded (second screenshot).
What do i have forgot, or what can i do to solve the problem?
I'm sorry i am not good enough with computers, to understand most of the other threads, of people having the same problem.
ok
the port has to forwarded on your router/modem for it to work properly. what is your router and modem make and model number?
The router is from astoria networks (o2 Homebox 6441).
Material Number: 101542
here are a couple of tutorials on setting up p/forward. you can search for some in german. you need to forward port 16000udp only to the private ip of your pc.
finding your pc ip and setting it in the router dhcp: https://www.voobly.com/pages/view/134
remember to apply/save any time you alter a router page.

I think i have setup everything now, i will try some test games and see if it worked out.
I am pretty sure it's the right ip, cause i did it step by step, how it's shown in the tutorial. (IPv4-Adress)
On the screenshot it says: Port forwarding is active
To find out if you are FP to other players, you have to join their game room and see if you get a fast proxy warning (yellow exclamation) next to a players name.
Try joining a few game rooms (preferably with 5+ players) and see if you notice anyone being FP to you. If not, then you are probably fine.
i think my port 16000 udp should be open to the private ip of my pc now.
The problem that i get kicked out the game when i'm playing against others.
Usually it takes about half an hour or a bit longer, till i get the disconnect.
Because of losing the connection to the voobly servers.
I have read that this can happen, if the internet connection is unstable.
Even when the internet connection is fast, but unstable.
This could be the case for me, because i am connected via wifi to the internet.
Is there any way to fix this problem, or could there might be another problem causing those disconnects?
I sometimes also get the notification that directx tool is activated, and it might causes crashes, but i can't find direct x tools on my computer.
please explain how this works
ok
have you tried a connection using a lan cable as it seems the port is open?
