Age of Empires 1 (not RoR) crashes using computer players

Hi! Just started on Voobly, and loaded up my first AOE1 (not RoR) game.

When I play against a fried it works... when I try and add computer players however, when trying to hit start in the game room, it starts loading and then eventually times out and crashes.

Can I ask if there is a fix?

i dont hink so but that community would know. does it play against A1's completely off of voobly?
