Ok Guys as you all know of late we have seen a number of good quality competitive games that have drawn quite a bit of interest. Naturally I would like to try and maintain that momentum and hopefully it might help promote another TIW next year.
So heres the suggestion, im planning on hosting a 2v2 tournament based on the maps voted on democratically by the community in the last TIW. However im going to include CBA to the list as I think it belongs there.

RCB
Veteran
Archer Blood
CBA Hero
Khans
Graves
Hero Fest
Smosh
Europe
Lustful
Desert
CBA
How it will work depending on how many teams we get is it will start with a bo3 (random decider) and then perhaps bo5 (random decider) etc.... Each team will get to pick their home maps and if the scores are drawn after the home picks then we have a random decider. There wont be any vetos. In your home picks you get to decide the spots/civs.
Depending on interest will make it very dependent on how quick we can finish the tourney so it may well be bo3 until the final and then make that bo5. While im planning on completing this in a day depending on entrants I might extend it but likely this will be a one day tourney.
As things stand im planning on possibly doing this tourney on the 16th of December. I would also like to add that I will need someone to create a random map pack for this, maybe if the 2v2 TIW 2016 map pack is still around some kind soul could add cba to the pack for me please
I am interested to hear feedback but I want to make this clear it needs to be conducted in a mature manner, i dont want to see any childish arguing going on between people who have a dislike for each other. Thanks
Veto's should be possible though, but you should't be able to veto Cba or Hero, since they are the most played maps in Cs. If you want this to work you have to make it more CB's based.
For example decider should automatically be Cba hero even if a team has picked it earlier. Only fair I mean look at what is being hosted 24/7.

Great idea, but again ****s will object. The focus should be giving cba/hero players and blood players equal chances. The winner will be the ones that win the most in the other's territory. This is only actual way to make ppl like me practice bloods and blooders play cba/hero.
Like it or not, bloods and cba/hero require vastly different skill sets and mentalities. I have brought up this point before but, there has been no one that has been able to claim to be best blooder and cba/hero tg player at the same time.

The reason why im against having vetos for this tournament is i want to give everyone a fair crack at it. Meaning even if your a one mapper and your map is listed then your map cant be vetoed and you get to play it and it comes down to the luck of the random decider. I want to be as inclusive to everyone and be fair to all genres, whilst promoting diversity. I would imagine regardless with all the major cbs being available alot of sets will be made up from cbs only which is fine as most of the lobby is cb based with the only possible deviant is the possibilty of something other than a cb in the decider. Thus promoting diversity to those who dont normally play something else.
Not only that but vetos whilst I would always have them in an actual TIW they are very time consuming even when dealing with just 2 teams at one time when they understand how the veto system works. Imagine trying to deal with several teams at the same time on a one day tourney when alot mightnt even have a grasp of it. Sorry but thats a serious head melt that I wouldnt put myself through

Possibility of old players coming back is slim compared to keeping and increasing the present ones. The old players are older age wise and have more going on.
They might come and play this tourney, but they wont be the ones keeping the lobby alive.

Im trying to cater to everyone mate and the reason i added cba was to try and cater even more to what is very much a cb lobby. They can all be played more than once if it comes up in the decider. I actually spoke with some of the biggest advocates of cbs before i tried to create this like for example malte. If we look at what vivo is saying who is also an advocate of cbs then he can see what im trying to achieve as well. I know you can see it as well but I do understand what your saying. Think of it this way in theory with how its set 2 evenly matched teams one being a cba hero team and the other a rcb team or cba team and they both win their home maps. So what decides it? Random makes it fair
How its set it kind of forces players of different genres to play maps outside of their comfort zone and thus encouraging diversity. Most of the sets im fairly certain will have mostly cbs played which is fine, some will only have only cbs as well.
