LOL just accidentally found this OP and thread again, n1.
Although original post is so much about teen stereotypes, but still makes me smile, coz most of us grew up with these kinds of stereotypes about us in parents'/teachers'/oldier people minds, I guess also because of a lot of schooling. :) Unschooling mindset changes a lot of things about teens.

BTW, even in AOE1 there is a unit called medusa (if enabled by cheat "medusa") which enables conversion of one unit to another unit a few times (what the cheat does is it "Transforms villagers to Medusas. When the villager is killed, it will turn into a Black Rider. When the Black Rider is killed, it will turn into a Hea", etc.). So this might be doable in AOE1 (I know some AOE1 modding though, not AOE2), and probably therefore maybe doable in AOE2 too, especially if there is a similar changing cheat unit in AOE2. Maybe what is needed is to replace villagers with that unit in a dat file. Hope it helps. Just sharing one more idea where we could go about it.
