can you try this overwrite interfac.drs instead to load in second time?
It is possible to overwrite original files, however, I'd like not to in order to keep the widescreen patch separate. Also, in current implementation wide_p1.drs is not a replacement for either of the original files as it only contains resolution-specific files.

EDIT: see [You must login to view link] for patched DRS loader.

It would not be possible to run EF with just the mod support of Voobly at the moment, so I cannot give you a Data Mods folder that works. You will have to [You must login to view link] and install it manually.
Zlib can be downloaded [You must login to view link].
You must compile efpatch in Release_Voobly configuration to produce a dll that can be used in Voobly client.

EDIT: you can also inspect the contents of the mod download ZIP and see what the mod modifies/adds on top of the DRSes. There's several changes that should also be addressed through either Voobly mod framework, or have people manually download the archive before playing on Voobly. An input from a Voobly developer would be needed in this regard so an optimal solution can be created.

0x004BE147 - tile pathing property mask, not resolution (causes out of sync)
0x005F6757 - campaign scenario load, not resolution (causes crash when starting a campaign)

You misunderstood, this offset needs no patching at all, and is rightfully commented out in my source at line 72.
You must login into Voobly to view image

Patching it according to resolution offset yields this:
You must login into Voobly to view image

The bugs are not in my code resolution.cpp, they are in Voobly widescreen.

Dump battlegrounds_x1.exe with Voobly widescreen turned on and see what it does.

Are you using the release version or compiling yourself? If it's the latter, to run outside Voobly, you must compile it in either Debug or Release configuration, and place efpatch.dll into Game folder.

ok i found some similarity with aoc so we could manage to make a new widescreen system like user patch:
new%20widescreen.PNG
i will need some time to finish the slp resize without compiling the drs
i iwll need some days (i promise nothing but i will try)

This is quite interesting, thank you.

Two notes:
- I cannot download the sound mod, it gives an error with the unzipping. Retrying does not work either, you can only re-do the download if you delete the folder it created (in Voobly local mods). Any idea on what could cause this? RvA has the same issue.
- Is it possible to give RvA the "ownership" of the mod uploads? Then we as part of the development team could update the mod ourselves in the future when we release patches & fixes.

Once the last problems are resolved we can finally make an official announcement post about finally having the mod playable on Voobly. <3

first here the source code:
[You must login to view link]
the only thing to change is AutoF.dll
and yes it could be better to transfert the ownership to [SWG]_RvA_

good luck next

Thanks a lot so far! :)

About the file size, are the 500 MB a hard size limit on Voobly's server side, or can an exception be made for this mod? Asking for two reasons:
1. Many people will likely not download the mod from the mod workshop but automatically from room joining, which means they don't automatically receive the sound - or they might just not download/activate it and then wonder what's up with the sound. It would be perfect to simply have it included in the main download so there's no confusion or other problems.
2. There will be future updates and content additions to EF, which will inevitably increase the file size over time.
