This is a FFA/Individual Entry competition! Just like last year, it will take place in a Voobly Tournament lobby.
More info about this game and mod can be inquired from these links: https://www.voobly.com/gamemods/view/13/VILLAGERUNKNOWNS%20BATTLEGROUNDS

VUBG TUTORIAL:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_k_koMpWmfk (Special thanks to Marauder)
STARTING TIME:
9am (US Central) / 14:00 (GMT) on Saturday, November 6th ([You must login to view link]). Figure out what time that is in your area! I will help you if need be. (US Central Time is halfway between Los Angeles and New York's times).
*Have the following eight hours free, as this will be a lengthy tournament.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
-MUST have a speedy and reasonable internet connection!! (Players who are FP to a lot of other players and/or are generating lag that is too severe may be subject to a forfeit and a drop from the tournament)
-All skill levels/ratings welcome.
-Must keep in routine contact with me prior to the tournament to ensure commitment and to hold your spot. Too long of inactivity may result in being dropped.
-Must join the tournament Discord server. I will give you the link once you register.
-Must be available for at least the following eight hours starting at 10am US Central time zone.
-Understand English/Spanish. (Effective communication/translation needed throughout the entire process.)
-If needing to drop, must provide at least 72 hours of notice. Last minute bails and no-shows may be subjected to penalties and being blacklisted (including IP) from future tournaments, at the host's discretion. This is quite a bit to manage so please do your part!
TOURNAMENT FORMAT:
Depending upon number of participants, we will get matches actively going each round (five rounds total; each player is guaranteed an even amount of games). Each match played is a FFA match but players will earn points based on how long they survive and on how many others they kill.
Sample: For each game (Assuming we have a full tournament and 8 players per game)-
1st to die: 1 point
2nd to die: 2 points
3rd to die: 3 points
4th to die: 4 points
5th to die: 5 points
6th to die: 6 points
Last to die: 7 points
The Winner: 10 points
For each kill: 1 point
*A small grace period will be enacted between each round to receive scores from each player, tally the standings, and settle any discrepancies.
*Should there be a tie between the last two (it has happened to where finalists in a game died simultaneously and no winner was given), then the tied players get 7 points each; no winner.
*If it has been determined to where players died earlier and simultaneously, then the two places will have the points split evenly. Ex: If the first two players die simultaneously, the it's 1.5 points for each. This will be unlikely to occur though. The simultaneousness will be determined by the game timer (F11), not the list for death.
*Tournament format is susceptible to change based off of number of entrants. No matter the number, you earn more points the longer you last, and you earn an additional point per each player that you kill.
PLAYOFFS:
After five matches of round robin per player, the top half scoring players will advance into the semi final series.
Each semi-final series will play five matches with the same scoring system from the first round.
The top half of scorers from each of these two semi-final series will be chosen to compete in the finals.
Sample (Assuming we have 32 players):
Semi-Final A will have seats 1-4 and 13-16.
Semi-Final B will have seats 5-12.
The finals is a showdown where games are played until the first player takes three wins, and then becomes the tournament champion!

WAITLIST: (0)
*Thirty-two players is the max that will be accepted. First come, first serve. Anyone wishing to play after we have 32 will be put on a waitlist. Each player will have five matches in the first round.
*Comment on here or message me on Voobly (I'll be in both the Custom Scenario and New Player lobbies). You may also send me an offline message but direct PM is the best.
REQUIRED SETTINGS FOR EACH GAME:
Map Style: CUSTOM (Location is VUBG)
Reveal Map: NORMAL
Game Speed: FAST
Resources: STANDARD
Starting Age: STANDARD/DARK
Teams Locked: ON
Map Size: (Map size for VUBG is always one size greater than the number playing.)
Victory: Conquest
Civ: Assigned (Due to Scavenger ban, tournament host will use a private randomizer that players will select civs from prior to game start.)
VUBG TOURNAMENT BANS:
-Center lake maps (a designated caster/spectator will signal players for a relaunch if so, as these maps drastically and unfavorably change the play.)
-Scavenger civ (heavily overpowered).
