I have fully updated AoE3AD with ESOC patch. Yet, the game diagnostics reports error and refuses to open my game.

The game on Steam or MS Store does not work on Voobly, you must own the original game. As for the patch, please check with the community in the AOE3 lobbies. If I remember correctly, they are playing some adaption of the ESOC patch.
