I zipped 'Voobly Mods' folder (~2,5GB) from my old pc which is voobly works fine and moved to my new pc's steam folder, it fixed for now.

Same here, i tried reistall Age yesterday but i can't download mods
Not even the 1.5RC patch

Someone had the same problem years ago

Try downloading it using the Voobly integrated browser. We will soon release an update that fixes that behavior.

I am getting the same exact error message and cannot get any download / install of any of the game patches. Tried from voobly browser with same behavior.

Turning UAC off breaks Voobly, please make sure it's turned on (+ reboot after). That should also solve the problem you are having with downloads.

Also keep in mind, that turning off UAC is a major security risk.

I have same problem, even after following above steps, hope for a fix soon

i managed to play a game, but was FP (i have never been FP before), but got the same error messages as previous posters
