In my recent work, I have implemented a proof-of-concept spectator mode in SWGB, which works similarly to the AoC UserPatch standalone installation, and is (supposedly) compatible with it. Quick observation of Voobly client when spectating AoC games suggests that the Voobly spectator mode is likely compatible to it as well, which suggests that it is possible to port the AoC spectator mode support over to SWGB. We would greatly appreciate it if you help us achieve this.
In order to do that, changes to both the Voobly client and the game client are required. I would like to receive a more detailed information on how the Voobly client interfaces with the game client (when spectating AoC games), and I will implement all the necessary support on the SWGB game client side.
I would like to know whether there would be interest from the Voobly team in getting spectator mode working in SWGB, and I will assist with any game client modifications that would be nessesary.
Best regards,
[SWG]_RvA_ and the SWGB community.
Hope to see you come back to RVA who I'm very confident can assist you with whatever youd need in terms of the game side of things - being responsible for so much of our user patches, mods and of course a part of the expanding fronts team.
Kind Regards
Liam
