Hey everyone,

Age of Mythology Titans will not work for me on or off Voobly.

I purchased the CDs for AOM and AOT.
I installed both versions on my Windows 10 device and performed the recommended game updates
I then downloaded Voobly and joined the AOT lobby
I then installed the AOT balance patch directly from Voobly [aomx10to 103)
This created a new exe file called aomxnocd
I went into properties for aomxnocd and selected compatibility mode. I am playing under Windows XP Service Pack 2. I also set it to run as administrator.
When I try to play aomxnocd the initial starting video film plays, however after the video plays the game just crashes.

Please can someone help.

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with the game. On Windows 10 AOT can be a bit quirky sometimes: sometimes it works out of the box and sometimes it will need some adjustments to run. Here are a couple common fixes:

1) Update your graphics card's drivers.

2) Enable DirectPlay
Search for Turn Windows features on or off. Then check the DirectPlay box under Legacy Components.

3) Start Age of Mythology in Safe Mode.
Copy the attached user.cfg file to "C:\Users\%username%\Documents\My Games\Age of Mythology\startup". Then launch the game to see if it starts now. If the game works, you can change the resolution and graphics quality by opening user.cfg in Notepad.

The config file was the missing piece for me. This solved my issue and now I can play this great game again.
