I follow the game rules of vobbly BUT...
Should there be any rules?
The objective of the game is to kill the enemy.
Are there any rules in war? Some may say there are rules but when it is your life or the enemy are there any?
Rules make it kind of fair (and i prefer it like this) but in the end it is a war game.

ps#1 . Is it allowed to kill civilians in war? No but in game they are your first target lol. Contradiction.
ps#2 . This may not sound like a serious thread but i would like to hear some thoughts.

In our flesh and blood world, we have International Laws as well as the Geneva Convention.

In a dream world yes. But in a dream world there would be no war.
Lets take a look in every war happening now or happened before.
All sides do not follow rules.
Also international justice may punish the weak side that lost with sanctions but only condemn the winning side with just words (most of the times).

Inter arma enim silent leges... during the Roman Empire. Certainly!

But nowadays? We have international laws, the Hague Conventions and the Geneva Convention. Even after WW2 we had the Nuremberg Tribunals.

I agree but my point is that everybody will do everything to win under the right circumstances. The goal justifies the means.
As for international conventions , laws and courts i will say again that the right of the strong is what remains in the end.
Germany as a country and German officials were punished (i agree) after ww1 and ww2 because they were defeated.
Should USA be punished after the war for dropping the BOMB ... twice killing thousands of civilians ?
Sad to say that laws and rules are for the weak (like me) to be controlled.
Sad to see that people or countries with power often ignore or bend the rules and walk without a scratch.

That's the old Roman Empire. Inter arma enim silent leges. :)

History is written by those who have hanged heroes.

That was **** "Germany" also known as the Third Reich, not related to the Federal Republic of Germany founded by the USA after the war. It's part of our history, no question.

No question, they should. But that would require, that the countries of Europe would actually act as independent and sovereign governments. But you know, between countries the term "friend" does not exist, however they may both have common economic interests. The war in Eastern Europe is a nice example for this.

No Sir, without laws there would be no civilization. It's important to keep up this status quo. Democracy is still a minority in our world.
