Need some help with connection

I think my ISP has not assigned me a static IP and there are other routers behind my router and hence I cannot forward the 16000 port. Whenever I join a room I get this message

<Error querying your router's public (aka WAN) port with local UDP port 16000 -- you most likely won't get a direct connection. It is recommended you run the Network Diagnostic Tool.>

and then it attempts to connect by FP and that it fails to connect by FP and me and other users get the message that the FP connection failed but somehow I get a direct connection and am able to connect to other users and I don't have issues inside the game

The problem is that when it attempts to connect by FP or it increases scanning range, other users assume that I am have a FP connection and just kick me out because they think my connection will be dubious, which it's not in-game.

Is there any way that it tries to connect by increasing scan range by default?

Edit: Added an attachment showing what it looks like when i join lobbies

I think I didn't emphasize on the fact that I am able to directly connect to other users. I don't know how but I assume it connects after "increasing scan range" but it is always preceded by a message that Fast Proxy connection fails. It just takes some time for it to connect which makes the other players think that my connection is dubious and kick me

You require an IPv4 address on your WAN, since DPlay is a 25 year old protocol without any support for IPv6.

Hey Chris! Thank you for the response but what I was more confused about was how, after the connection to the Fast Proxy failed I was able to connect to the other players. As you can see in the screenshot, I was not in a Fast Proxy connection with the other users and next to their names, there was no !! symbol.

Also, I do have a VPS with a static IP address. I was considering whether I could use that somehow to be able to connect to other players. I realize that it is essentially using a proxy. My little research tells me there is something called Remote Port Forwarding, I will try to see if I can use that somehow.

Thank you Chris.

Keep in mind, that the DPlay protocol is 25 years old. The network diagnostic may or may not be accurate all the time. The problem however is related to your IPv6 address. If you have an IPv6, Voobly will route your traffic through the proxy server, so you have an IPv4 address in order to connect to other players. If you cannot have an IPv4 address assigned by your ISP, you should consider using a VPN. The VPS idea however won't work.
