I come here because I love AOE2 as it was back in 2000-2002. I have moderate autism and for some reason part of that latched on to classic AOE2 in a really crazy way.

I see now you have a bot set up to spam us periodically about being able to play the "Definitive Edition" here as well. There's not many things in this world I detest more than AOE2-DE and it's "new civs" and being reminded about it constantly is really, really irritating; the fact that I tried ignoring the bot and it still pops up its message every few hours is absolutely infuriating.

Can you please at least let this spam be ignored/muted so we don't have to see it? I prefer to pretend that the "DE" never existed, and the idea of 'new civs' actually makes me extraordinarily angry in a completely irrational way.

I understand that many people prefer playing 1.4 or even the original 1.0c. However, if we want to survive, we must move to the latest available version of the game. This was 1.5 aka HD for many years and now it's 1.6 aka DE. We added the functionality that you are not forced to play any of the new civs, so noting stops you from playing the DE patch. It comes with many balance changes and lots of QoL features.
