Chain of Command

Alright. This is a few weeks after the smosh tournament, which was my first taste of what it is like to run an event on voobly. Here are my thoughts:

What went right:
The turnout was incredible.
A thrown together team of less active players won.

What could be done better:
The rules needed to be more clearly defined.
The map needs to be set in stone a week before.

What concerned me:
Certain persons went over my head and made a map that made a mess of some matches, notably delaying one side of the bracket severely. I don't even care that it was a terrible buggy mess, what made me angry was that it was done last minute and I only found out after the tourney had started.

Nobody can do this. If you want to edit a map, have it done a week beforehand and let the main organiser see it first.

This moves me onto my next question.... does anyone want to lead on Vets and later Deathrow?

I'll do it if nobody else wants to, and I'll be helping on the nights either way.

Good post Masta.

I agree with all of your points.

But nothing in here for chain of command lol.

My thoughts are:

Once the Tournament has been agreed in the Members only section, and it is ready to be posted up and advertised. The person making the Official announcement thread for all Voobly to see is in charge, hopefully this will be the same person who was pushing for the event in the first place. e.g Masta and the Smosh 3v3

That person will have the final say on the rulings etc on the night ( I will always try and make myself available to help ) and if needed I will also make the final decision if you want me to. e.g one of your friends may get upset etc etc.

The only other time either Frankie or myself will get involved and over rule VCOM is if it has an adverse affect on Voobly. At the end of the day I am ultimately responsible for all of VCOM's actions, but personally I can never see it getting to that point. I trust most of you ;) or you wouldn't be here now.

It was meant to be inferred or some **** lol.

All I mean is that one VCOM is the head VCOM organiser. not including you/taff/army. I'm talking other VCOM members.

So on the night the chain is:

Head VCOM / You guys
Two other VCOM who are part of the team on the night.
Other VCOM who turn up.

As far as I am concerned the VCOM member who is running the event is the head honcho lol..

I'm there for any help you guys need, but I am not going to take over anything. It's all yours until you need me.

Pretty sure the lazy Irishman will agree also, infact the less he has to do the more he loves you guys :)

I don't mind being involved with blood events also *or most events I can attend for that matter*.
I plan on playing in both so I don't know if I could lead until eliminated.

I think all we need @ minimum is a VCOM mod who does not plan on playing to help out for the first couple of hours until 1 of the VCOM mods who is playing the event gets knocked out. Vets games are not real long and since its an anti camp map there shouldn't be any disputes. If a dispute arises it shouldn't be long before one of us gets out of the game to solve it.

As long as we have one person in game one who is not playing we will be fine. If Targa or Taff are around that covers that. If not I'll do it lol.
