Drew's the weak link in your 4v4 team, you'd lose to a good active ViCiouS team (Me, John, Mike, Tom) or a LC team with Vicer + Metal + Ghost + Cory imho. Naz much better player when in form, and isn't volatile. Our quiet discussion!

As for the real point of discussion, I've had more interest in the Rm community as of late than the CS community. The main reason is because of Aoc-Zone. It is such a professional website, daily games posted and easy to download different POVs since the uploaders have them in game-packs, and people comment on the games. Then when I noticed a CSer posting recs of CS Bo7's, their opponent registers and they start having a war of words in the thread...

You need to dedicate some form of site to AOC-CS and link it to Voobly.

IF we were to implement some sort of CS site, we would need experts playing against each other in 1v1s whether it be rated/non-rated without the ****-talk, and leave the community discussion to decide who the people think are better and what side they favour (eg AocZone always has some match-up at a current time, Daut/Chris, Daut/Jordan, Viper/Chris, Riut/Daut, Tyrant/RVK, Dreams/Brazil.). Then the up and coming players would also get good publicity for managing to beat top players at a certain map (like Sletten/MrYo/8thWonder etc.). Then you have your clowns that keep discussion vibrant and interesting, questioning everything about AOC (Carlos/John_Mendl/Randoms).

We can implement this forum as long as it's integrated with Voobly, but a separate entity from the forums and a clan page. You need to be able to customize the front page, have ladders, clans, forums and most importantly a recorded games header after the Banner header. You would have to moderate the forums strictly for the first month, encourage healthy discussion, find a way to promote 1v1s and TGs (jeez I'd even play vs Zanchy/Andreas if I had to make this work) and then throw in your tournaments as well.

It's a lot of effort, however if any of you are serious about reviving both bloods and the fair, yet competitive nature of CS while adding a mature approach, this is your best option besides the influence of money.

If you're not keen to put in the effort, can you (as a group) stop ****ing about the state of CS and making topics asking for suggestions. I'm regularly contributing ideas but they get knocked on the head and put into the too-hard basket.

Ideas to make this site a success if we decide to try the site.
  • Expert recorded games section (possibly a filter for maps that will produce good games i.e map name, game time (a 5 minute 1v1 smosh is not going to be a gg)
  • Streaming program where an expert like Charlie or Fran can discuss where players go right and wrong once a week when they submit their games (casters take turns so one person doesn't share all the load - I'm looking into possibly setting up my own stream).
  • Clan challenge system? No points associated with it, only win/loss?
  • ???
