The way I see it...

- RCB Gold needs to be fair for a tournament, therefore 1v1 is not really an option.

- 2v2 Mirror is the way to go, it encourages skilled matches to be played and doesn't allow feeding noobs to ruin the game OR civs to determine the game. After all, if you have goths vs byz.. it doesn't matter how good you are, you're going to lose vs anyone who can play.

- 2v2v2v2 is OK, providing ..
. Some teams are seeded (ie. you wouldn't place all of the top players against eachother 1st round.)
. Civs are either pre-determined ie. fair and agreed on, OR mirror civs.
. Will be a point based double elimination tournament.

- FFA encourages all vs 1, RDM civs encourage luck games, ie. not skill nor a tournament style game.. and the people here who are moaning PROBABLY WON'T EVEN turn up.

you can expect rcb tournaments in the near future till then keep debating and voting
if anybody has ideas on spots that would fix 1v1 then feel free to suggest any of them

As i already said for 1vs1 RCB p1 vs p5 or p4 will be fine! (p5 is the best choice imo)

if other players agree with this option then a 1v1 tournament becomes possible

But i think a 2vs2 RCb tourney will be better than a 1vs1, because right now there are few top 1vs1 players so a 2vs2 might turn on more fair match-ups. This is just my opinion btw!

but if it is 1v1,

id say red/blue is unfair, try blue vs p8 or p5...

or i could make blue/red fair if it will be used for tourny,

Remember guys, 1v1 can be made fair by implementing a BO3 for each round. P1 switches to P2 in the second game. In the event of a decider due to 1-1 score, the player who won their match in the fastest time is generally the player who chooses the player positions for the decider.

I agree with the positions p1 vs p5 for 1vs1, what we need is to make it more fair for both players. could also be 2 options for maps that do not like:
Rambit Normal 1vs1 and 1vs1 Rambit BvsT as the veteran BvsG

Hardly anyone plays 1v1. It'll just be a circle jerk between those that do.

Any kind of game that have more than 2 teams or 3~8 players against each other plus Random Civilizations will not be never and ever fair.

Just think about it, you got to be lucky with civilizations, you got to be lucky in not to get All VS. you, this with the intention to kill the Top Kings/Kills player. FFA and 2 VS. 2 VS. 2 VS. 2 can't just be fair in anyway.

Skills, strategies, varation my balls (sorry for the word) but if you get, for example, Mayans VS. Goths or Persians, how in the world you really think you will win that?... No matter if you're super skilled, super smart, or whatever you want it's just not possible, unless you are next to braindead wich give you free razes and kills it's the only option, but that would be unfair for other players.

To the fact that 2 VS. 2 VS. 2 VS. 2 (Mirror Civilizations) it's fair, from my point of view, and common sense it can't be fair, it's whoever team is in top score/kills/kings gets rushed by everyone, that order 'till the luckiest stand guys win. It's just not fair guys, move on.

I agree with most of this. Just the things you say about 2v2v2v2 isn't correct from my pov! For example most of this kind of games are won by the team that is winning (top score) and not by the bottom one!

Anyways i still don't get why people is so focused on saying ffa isn't fair, everyone knows it....but you guys should remember that a RTD tourney was done some time ago, which isn't more fairer in any way and i didn't read so many complaints like "For a tourney you can't have an unfair map/style of gameplay!"
