The Format

Round one is a group stage. We received twenty eight sign-ups and thus we will divide them into groups of four. There will be seven groups. The winner and runner-up of each group will automatically move to the Round of 16. The best four of the third place teams will get a chance to playoff for the final two spots in the next round.

Round One Matches

Each team must play the other three within a two week period. If games are not completed, admins will decide who forfeits the game. The first round will be fought in a set of three matches with the following settings.

Game 1: Byzantines/Mongols
Game 2: Loser of game 1 picks the civs

The Rules

We expect everyone who is playing to behave themselves and have some good games. Any outbursts will be frowned upon and may result in penalties. Keep calm and have fun with this.

Camping

In the case of 2v2 CBA we define camping as sitting near to your bases, waiting for the other team to make a move. If you and your ally continue camping for an extendeded period, you will forfeit that game. All such complaints can be made in the admin subforum.

Dropping

If a player drops, the game must be saved and restored. If either team refuses to restore the game, they will forfeit it. If a player drops frequently he should consult tech support and get it fixed before continueing with the matches.

Deleting

Deleting a building or partially built building is only allowed in the following circumstances:
  • It is inside your or your allies base, it has more than 25% health and there are no enemy units within range to hit it.
  • It is in the main map but it is not on the frontline of buildings, it has more than 50% health and there are no enemy units near it.
  • You or your team have a significant number of units fighting in front of the building, it is blocking the way and highly unlikely to be destroyed.

Lagging

If a player is causing extreme lag he will be given the chance to sort the problem out. If he does not fix his lag, he will be disqualified from the tournament.

Unpausing

Anyone who repeatedly unpauses on their enemies will forfeit the match.
