After multiple drafts, consults, and thought it looks like we have a definite 2015 AoK DM tournament schedule that is set to go public Sunday, December 28th. Below is the planned announcement with the basic dates/details, the specifics is still in process with Slash.
VCOM is happy to announce the 2015 AoK DM tournament schedule! Included is a new 1v1 Frank war championship tournament cycle with a prize fund projected at $1,000 for first place along with other prizes and a unique 2v2 Arabia with a civilizations rating system where you the players get to decide the 1st place prize of up to $1,000 by how you chose your civilizations for the tournament! We also have lined up a 3v3 Gold Rush, 1v1 Black Forest and several 2v2 Frank war tournaments! See below for more details.
1v1 Frank War "Zone Rules" tournaments and championship schedule 2015:
1) January 31st 2015- best of three games per round, 64 player maximum, memberships 1st through 4th place. Anyone with a 1700 or greater rating at the time of sign up can participate or if you have a Gold/Platinum Voobly membership. Top eight finalists automatically allowed into the AoK DM championship tournament in October. Prizes- Various Voobly memberships for 1st-4th place, cash prize TBA.
2) February 28th 2015- best of three games per round, 64 player maximum, memberships 1st through 4th place. Anyone with a 1700 or greater rating at the time of sign up can participate or if you have 50 AoK DM games played or if you have a Gold/Platinum Voobly membership. Top eight finalists automatically allowed into the AoK DM championship tournament in October. Prizes- Various Voobly memberships for 1st-4th place, cash prize TBA.
3) April 4th 2015- best of three games per round, 64 player maximum, memberships 1st through 4th place. Anyone with a 1800 or greater rating at the time of sign up can participate or 100 AoK DM games played or if you have a Gold/Platinum Voobly membership. Top eight finalists automatically allowed into the AoK DM championship tournament in October. Prizes- Various Voobly memberships for 1st-4th place, cash prize TBA.
4) June 27th 2015- best of three games per round, 64 player maximum. Anyone with a 1800 or greater rating at the time of sign up can participate or if you have 200 AoK DM games played or if you have a Gold/Platinum Voobly membership. Top eight finalists automatically allowed into the AoK DM championship tournament in October. Prizes- Various Voobly memberships for 1st-4th place, cash prize TBA.
5) August 8th 2015- best of three games per round, 64 player maximum. Anyone with a 1800 or greater rating at the time of sign up can participate or if you have 250 AoK DM games played or if you have a Gold/Platinum Voobly membership. Top eight finalists automatically allowed into the AoK DM championship tournament in October. Prizes- Various Voobly memberships for 1st-4th place, cash prize TBA.
6) October 31st 2015- best of three games per round, 64 player maximum. Anyone with a 2200 or greater rating at the time of sign up can participate, or 750 AoK DM games played, or if you have a Gold/Platinum Voobly membership or if you have been a top eight finalist in any of the previous 1v1 Frank War tournaments in 2015. Prizes- Various Voobly memberships for 1st-4th place, $1,000 1st place and crowned AoK DM champion of 2015!
Other tournament schedules of 2015:
1) February 7th 2015- 3v3 Gold Rush all civilizations, no siege or bombard towers allowed. Best of three per round, maximum 32 teams. Everyone is allowed to participate. Membership prizes 1st-4th teams.
2) April 4th 2015- 2v2 Arabia all civilizations allowed and bombard towers but no siege. Unique civilization rating system where the 1st place prize could be as little as $10, or as great as $1,000! It’s up to you to determine! Each civilization has been assigned a rating, you multiple the 2 civilizations for your team then multiple that by ten to get your possibly 1st place prize if you win!
3) April 25th 2015- 2v2 Arabia Frank War. Best of three per round, maximum of 64 teams. Average rating for each team must be 1800 or greater. Top two finalists automatically allowed to enter into the September 8th 2v2 Frank War cash tournament! Various Voobly membership prizes for 1st-4th place teams.
4) May 2nd 2015- 1v1 Black Forest all civilizations, siege and bombard towers allowed. Best of three per round, maximum 64 players. Everyone is allowed to participate.Various Voobly membership prizes for 1st-4th teams.
5) September 8th 2015- 2v2 Arabia Frank War. Best of three per round, maximum of 32 teams. Average rating for each team must be 2000 or greater or have played a combined 500 AoK DM games or have Gold/Platinum Voobly memberships. Prizes $200 for 1st. Various Voobly membership prizes for 1st-4th place teams.
