The rules were pretty clear and I've been hammering them everywhere regarding when initial contact deadlines are, when contact or forfeit deadlines are, and when matches must be completed by. Each round in the scheduling forum under every match up the deadlines are posted. What else can I do to ensure everyone knows when the deadlines are? Spam messages out every day to all participants (which I did in round one for about everyone)? At some point players need to take responsibility for themselves and know they are participating in a tournament, know the rules and deadlines and follow them.
However you're right, players seem to need more time to figure this out and play their matches. I'm going to do two weeks per round next tournament, however I know people will be upset with the length of that tournament too- you just can't please everyone. *shrug*
