IMPORTANT: There are no requirements to sign up for this tournament. Each round is two weeks.
This is the second AoK DM tournament of 2015 and the second of four 1v1 Frank War qualification tournaments for the Championship tournament in October. The Championship tournament in October will have a $1,000 prize fund but to qualify for that tournament you need to play in one of the four qualification tournaments held throughout the 2015 calendar year and be a top sixteen finisher in one of them to be entered into the October Championship tournament. You don't need to participate in all four tournaments, if you get into the top sixteen in one of the qualification tournaments you will be entered into the Championship tournament in October. The first qualification tournament is in progress now, go here to see how it's going! We're looking forward to seeing some great games!
Quick Faq:
Q: Why Play in this tournament?
A: To be a top sixteen finalist and be entered into the $1,000 Championship tournament in October!
Q: How can I sign up?
A: Comment "sign me up" below.
Q: Is this a one day event?
A: NO. The tournament begins March 14th and is played at a rate of one round per two weeks, each round the best of three games. You must schedule your match with your opponent for that round in the VCOM Scheduling forum for each round. Expected ending date is June 20th but could end sooner if less than 64 participants as there may be less rounds.
Q: When is the deadline for sign ups?
A: March 12th! Sign up asap!
Q: What if there is a low turn out for the tournament?
A: Then better chances for those who signed up to be a top sixteen finalist and be entered into the Championship tournament for a chance to win $1,000!
Q: Will I be able to play in the Championship tournament in October if I don't play in this tournament?
A: Yes as long as you compete in one of the four qualification tournaments held throughout the year and are a top sixteen (except the first one, which is top 12) finisher in one of them.
Q:How do I play my games each round?
A: In the AoK Lobby at [You must login to view link] using the "Match Stat" under rating settings. You work out playing times with your opponent each round in the VCOM Scheduling forum. Please note: Your match in both the Scheduling and Submit Result forums will already be created, don’t make threads there. Just find your name and post in that thread. If you can’t locate your name, send a private message to [VCOM]arabia_game and ask about it.
Q: My opponent hasn't responded in the Scheduling forum. What now?
A: He has until 00:00GMT Friday- a week from when the pairings are posted- to respond either by accepting one of the three time offers you made or offering three of his own. If he misses that deadline then he has until 00:00GMT Sunday following that Friday to accept on of your time offers. If he misses that deadline he forfeits the match and a VCOM staff will score it appropriately in the VCOM Submit Result forum. You don't need to do anything, the VCOM staff will score the match for you.
Q: My opponent and I scheduled a time to play, but he isn't here to play the match. Now what?
A: Your opponent has 30 minutes from the time you scheduled to play to show up. If he hasn't arrived at that time then post a comment in the AoK lobby room with a time stamp stating your opponent hasn't arrived and take a screen shot. The VCOM staff will score the match and submit the result in the VCOM Submit Result forum, you don't need to do anything else. This rule will be heavily enforced, even if both players are on after that 30 minute period the player who had to wait has no obligation to play the match. He has already won it by forfeit. Please show up on time for your match! Very important.
Q: I played the match with my opponent and won! How do I get it scored?

Rounds
While the amount of rounds depends on the number of entries each new round will begin at 00:00 GMT Saturday every two weeks. Organizers reserve the right to forfeit and award automatic wins as deemed necessary to continue the tournament on schedule. In unlikely scenarios both parties may be forfeited if it is decided they both failed to give a good faith attempt at playing their round match.
