Is it possible to list the mods by date? (newest to oldest or vice-versa)

For example there are many different visual mods. version 2, version 4 terrain enhancement this terrain enhancement v2., and so on its hard to keep track of which is the NEWEST, the most updated, the most enhanced. There are so many visual mods to scroll through it is impossible to keep track.

Has this been brought up before and just didn't get the votes to pass? Or is this something new that could be looked into and possibly changed?

There was a concept by Justin for the mod page to filtering by name, uploader, download number, upload date, comments etc. Maybe in future we will use this :)
