Non-DirectPlay game path is 'c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\age2hd'
Your version of the game is not compatible with Voobly.

You must install the most recent 1.0c compatibility pack for Age2HD

Now before any of you say just download the pack and it will fix it, I already did that and it didnt help. Also Ive tried to change the game directory so it goes to my AoC instead of the HD version but I cannot find it. I have already tried some other out there methods to solve it but they havent worked either.

Image 2 is my age2 folder
Image 3 is where the AoC.exe is located and what Voobly needs to access instead of age2hd

*Also I am in Windows 10 if that has any effect on the Voobly client

hi
i dont have the steam version so from what youve written i assume you had the game originally, working and then installed the steam version. all file dates are 2016 so it either overwrites data or makes another install.
you have this installed?: [You must login to view link]
did you do a file search for all the instances of age2x1.exe?

Ive only ever had the steam version. My friend is also using steam but his client works. When I did the exact same install process he did I got the error and he did not. He is using windows 8 and i am on windows 10. That is the only difference I could come up with

Same problem here.
I have the Steam version of the game, I have Windows 10 and I've already instelled the most recent 1.0c compatibility pack but the game doesn't start

How can i fix this problem??

does the game run ok off of voobly?
try this: https://help.voobly.com/display/vkb/KB1054+Clean+installation+of+Aoe2HD+with+compatibility+patch
for windows run the game etc as admin and xpsp3 as compatibility.
