Ok guys this is something ive wanted to do for a while, though i think it could also be expanded in to a 2v2 custom masters as well. Im not really sure of activity and i know me and damian have also spoke about the potential of a cash tourney though this will probably not be it. This being more to see how active we can make a custom tourney before putting money into it.

How it would work:

It will be a one day event with each round until the final being on a best of 3 basis with the final being done on a bo5 basis. There will be a pack put together and each game will be random as in what map comes up. For each round each player will have one veto each so if a map comes up they dont want to play they can veto it which means it cant be played in that round. Each player will take turns hosting and whoever wins fastest hosts the decider if a decider is needed.

Regarding which maps to include in the map pack i will be going with mostly those from the TIW 1v1 pack, please see below:

I feel the more maps included makes it harder to win for anyone.

I dont have a date but wanted to throw this out there to try and get some feedback before i press ahead and draw it up. Naturally i ask anyone replying to keep it mature and any deviant from the topic, flame, baiting will result in post deleted and ignored. I thank you in advance

All sounds good except lustful

For a 1vs1 Master Of Customs it is not the whole spectrum of custom scenarios.

I think there are a little bit too much bloods maps, which gives traditional blood players an advantage.

Add for example Team TD v4, Dodgeball and ancient TD instead of three blood maps.

Best could be 4 or 5 maps of a certain kind of scenario maps.

This will ensure a wide spectrum of players and the best of this competition is a real Master Of Custom

If im honest i dont know tds at all, can they be played 1v1? Could maybe add dodgeball as the 20th map?

There are many more TD maps which can be played 1vs1. Take a look in the random TD map pack, Gallas can be helpful too. Or Senior Rambit .... smile



TTF Short, Roll the Dice, Mini CB are also good options.

Make a good mix and "catch" more players of the "exotic" CS communities !

The other option of course could be to just use the maps voted on by the custom community for 1v1 section of TIW as it does have a good spread of maps and the pack i think is still there and call it season 1 and then in a few months time do a season 2 using different maps?

dont think TDs belong anywhere near a competitive CS tournament honestly but thats just my opinion.. seems like a good idea though and could turn out some ggs for sure.

Might as well include Europe, Battlebots, Art of War etc if you think adding TDs is going to represent the full spectrum of CS...

Worked fine last time, however the pack was smaller and consisted mainly of bloods with the addition of RCB and Lustful.

Stop adding obscure AoK maps in AoC tournaments, thank you.
