VCOM is grateful to announce a 1v1 Arena Tournament named as "Enter The
Pit" We hope for a widespread participation from Players across the Voobly and make this a good tournament

Enter The Pit :
Rules And Settings

General Rules
  1. All Players must respect the tournament schedule and times for each round. This is a team event and there will be NO exceptions or delays granted to ANY Player. No excuse will be accepted for failing to play in the specified time.

  2. If both Player cannot come to an agreement in scheduling their match, the staff will analyse the situation, schedule, and time zones in order to add a viable Admin Time that suits both Teams to the best of our ability. Admins will ensure teams are not forced to play games between 2am - 6am local time.

  3. When scheduling all times must be discussed using date and time in GMT time. Check your time in GMT here [You must login to view link]

  4. Every Team Member must respect their opponent. Bad behaviour (determined by staff) will result in a warning and may lead to an immediate disqualification of a whole Team. This tournament values not only great skills, but also sportsmanship and fairness. Any insult, racism or flaming will not be tolerated. Laming and mind games in game are allowed.

  5. All Team Leaders have agreed to the No Smurf rule. Each Team must submit all relevant player usernames for Admin discussion. Smurfing and account sharing is not allowed. Any discovery of the mentioned will result in Team disqualification.

  6. All games MUST be played in the Voobly Tournament Lobby using the VCOM Ladder.

  7. During the Dow immediately after completion of each match, the winning Player MUST post the game match links for the tournament games in the DoW Match Submission section of that respective round.

  8. All the games must be scheduled and confirmed by both Players in the dawn Of Warriors Scheduling Forums, informing the other Player of the exact date and time of the arranged games.

  9. In case of disconnections, the game must be saved and restored. All of the .mgz recorded game files (multiple parts of the game before/after drop) must be provided when posting the recorded games.
If restoring is not possible, the recorded game should be provided, along with any additional information to the Administration of the Dawn of Warriors instantly. Subsequently, facts will be analysed and a final decision made.

  10. Once two Players have arranged and confirmed a time to play, the maximum waiting time is 30 minutes. If one of the PLAYERS fails to arrive, the waiting team must take a screenshot showing [You must login to view link] (so the current time is clearly visible) with the Lobby Game Room and post the screenshot in the respective scheduling thread with a link to the post in the Scheduling forums where the game time was arranged and confirmed. This way, tournament admins will know how long the team waited and upon Admins decision, the team that did not come might get an Admin Loss for the games. Do not try to edit time arrangement posts in an attempt to get free wins, because the forum registers the exact date and hour of each edited post. Such actions are considered cheating, and the offender will be punished according to rules.

  11. If a game is not recorded, it must be replayed regardless of result and evidence of it.

  12. Each Player MUST be fluent in English and is responsible for scheduling, possible disputes, and everything else regarding their participation. Can go google Translate rofl

  13. New rules can be added and current rules can be changed. However, Admins MUST inform the Teams about such changes in the Inter Random Cup Rules & Settings thread. All the latest additions in Rules & Settings will be in red.

  14. No Player will be allowed to refuse the presence of any spectators, but they may ask to have the spectator delay increased up to 10:00 minutes. If either Team wants the spectator delay increased then it must be increased, it does not require an agreement between both teams. Teams MUST wait for the majority of spectators to finish before starting the next game

  15. Players must only sign up one account and No smurfing is Tolerated

Organizing matches

Schedule your Games in Scheduling Threads

Players are expected to arrange their own matches. Usually, there will be a time period of about 7 days in which the match is supposed to take place. If no appointment can be arranged between the two players, a tournament admin will help arrange a time.

When a match is over, the winner will immediately post the results and the links to the played matches, including matches that were restarted, on the Match Submission Forum

All matches must be played in the tournament lobby, on the VCOM Ladder.

The host of the match is responsible for using the exact game settings as stated above. If a match is played under different settings, it must be replayed under the correct settings.

If a player fails to show up on time, there is a maximum of 15 minutes that the opposite player has to wait, before the victory automatically goes to him/her. If one of the players fails to arrive, the waiting player must take a screenshot showing [You must login to view link] (so the current time is clearly visible) with the Tournament Lobby Game Room and post the screenshot in Admin Requests topic, with a link to the post in the Scheduling forums where the game time was arranged and confirmed.

Why 3 player map? Why not 2 player.

Partially to prevent unfair relic distribution, partially to make for a wider variety of strategies that can be executed.

For promotion purposes I will suggest to put a pop up for this tournament when a user access NPL. Most NPL players don't go to aoczone. Also maybe you could talk with Reddit mod and get this sticked till signups finish. 10 days is not too long.

The link to post recorded games is dead.

Also, a question: do we just literally post the link to the match found on our profile (if we are the winner)?

Yeah, just leave the link, and the name of your opponent. Either me or a tournament admin will then make sure everything else is taken care of.

as stated before, 3 player size will prevent an unfair relic distribution. if there are more people who want the map size to be reduced to 2 player size, the change will be made.

Is anyone and everyone allowed to stream the games if both players are ok with it? And is there a source for past arena games? or even just expert games that are only on arena?
