The game keeps crashing right when the game starts. So the multiplayer lobby will load, everyone gets ready, the game starts, the loading screen shows up where it shows which players are done loading, and right when the game is about to start, it crashes.
I've tried the following:
- uninstalling aoe 2 hd from steam
- verifying cache files
- uninstalling voobly
- installing aoe 2 hd compatibility pack
The game only crashes on voobly. I tried running a game on the aoe 2 hd client from steam, and the game loads up fine.
Does anyone have a solution for this?
when you are in the civ set up screen, just before launch, do you see any one with a ping of 30?
I also tried to run the game on voobly with just me vs a computer, to see if the game would load.
you tried a game using single player in a game room menu? have you checked your pc firewall/anti-virus is nor blocking you after an update?
Only in Voobly the game crashes, my firewall and anti virus hasn't changed and it was working before.
check the logs for application events, see if thats any help.

Can you post a screenshot of the error you see after the game crashes? If you see a debug button on the error message, click on it and post the contents of the debugger.
I am guessing this is a resolution problem. Try starting the game in single player mode and set the display resolution to 800x600 (by clicking options). See if that helps. If it does, you can then change your resolution back to the default supported by your computer.
