After 21 days of the Roll The Dice FFA League I am proud to announce the winners. Besides other two events held for RTD recently, this one was more successful and I am happy for the relatively high amount of games played. These events with the three events, however, did bring activity back to Roll The Dice and may it increase even further with the new permanent ladder. I hope everyone enjoyed the event and are acceptive of the earned scores. Perhaps there will be another RTD FFA League held in the future, but who knows, there is still long journey ahead of us all. Real Score is calculated by multiplying Overall Score, Average Score, Winrate and Average Match Rating. There will be no leaderboard for it until the end of the tournament, so if you want to compare Real Scores, you will have to download the Excel Spreadsheet file linked below.

The Overall Score is simply the sum of all your score earned throughout the League. It is calculated by adjusting the score of each match and then summing all those values. A winner of the match will always receive double the Trade Profit stated in the match link. Furthermore, only a game with 8 players awards you 100% of the Trade Profit, a 7 player game awards 75%, a 6 player game 50% and a 5 player game 25%.
Scoring Reference


The Average Score is a value that is calculated by dividing Overall Score with the Games Played amount. This factor ensures that the games played are mainly filled with 8 players. Otherwise players would be able to reach high Real Score with just hosting 5 player games which are not as competitive as 8 player games.


To be on top of the Real Score leaderboard a player has to be experiened, this is why multiplying with your Winrate value is required. It ensures that the players who are capable of winning the most games have a higher Real Score.


A high rated game is more likely to be competitive than a low rated game, for this reason a multiplier is required to determine the skill level of a match. The Average Match Rating is calculated by finding the sum of all matches ratings the player has been present and then dividing the value with his match count and 1600, which is the default rating.

The winrates seen above are averages of strictly competitive only matches. It is interesting to see that they can be very far apart from eachother and that Mayans have not scored a single win from all of the submitted matches. However, one must note that the match pool is less than one hundred and thus these statistics for civilizations cannot be taken as the ultimate truth. It will be entirely up to AzZzRu how he will decide to define these results and if he is planning to draw any conclusions from them and perhaps apply some changes to the civilizations.

It was nice to see old blood (Laochra) beat most of these young whippersnappers!

This was fun to play in. Thanks for organising it. I randomly came back to aoe2 after 3 years and was happy to find rtd still being played. Even better it had been updated. The top 5 of this league accurately depicts who the best players are atm. Azzru himself would prob be there if he had committed to playing.

These statistics are interesting too. I bet i heavily affected the saracen winrate. I feel like i get that civ in 50% of rtd games.

Good tournament, had much fun during my journey to the win, I hope everyone had too.

On the other hand, cannot believe the statistics of last three civs, specially mongols, that is my best civ. And mayans winning 0 out of 33 games is interesting. Thinking about how much the luck factor affected the results.

Thank you for your hard work nhoobish. There was a lot of criticism leveled at the decision to go forward with a RTD ladder/league but as usual, the RTD community has proven the naysayers wrong. Sadly we most likely missed out on releasing the ladder when RTD activity was at its zenith but nonetheless RTD continues to increase in popularity; it pleases me to see this community flourish and I look forward to seeing more awesome events in the future.
