After updating to Win 10 ver 1709 I can't start the game with error 0xc0000005.
Reinstalling the game doesn't help.
Only after removing Voobly and reinstalling the game, I can start the game again.
But when I installed Voobly back, the problem comes again.
Any solution?

Yeah, this happens to basically everyone with the Steam AoE3 and voobly installed. Voobly causes the game to instantly crash while on WINXP compatibility setting.

Can someone from the voobly team look into this? Could we at least have some insight on how the voobly client modifies AoE3? Could help me to try think up some sort of solution.

I've found that the issue can be averted by deleting d3d9.dll, which will effectively disable the crashing voobly code. I guess it wasn't written with XP support in mind, which is a shame since XP compatibility is usually the most effective way to run the game properly. For now, deleting this file is an acceptable solution for me.
