I have a problem.
I bought AOE3 trough Steam. (Sometimes I play AOE3 with a Friend on Voobly)
When i want to open AOE3 trough Steam I get an Error and the Game crashes.
To fix it I have to locate the game directory find the AOE3.exe and set the Compatibility mode off.
When I now start the Game trough the .exe everything works.

But I dont want to locate everytime the Game Directory. I want to start the Game by clicking the "play"
Button on Steam.

I think this error is caused by Voobly...

Has anybody an idea how to fix it?

This issue is directly caused by Voobly. Unfortunately it seems that the Voobly code injected to the game doesn't run on XP compatibility settings (which is generally the best way to run the game on current systems and also the default setting used by Steam).
Delete the file "d3d9.dll" generated by Voobly in your AoE3 game installation folder, and your game will run fine once again. Note that this file will be recreated any time you play through Voobly, therefore making the game not functional again.
