Sometimes when I click attack with archers, they move to the enemy bef

I've noticed recently, especially in CBA, that if I have archers and click on an enemy unit or building to attack, the archers will move until they are right next to it before firing. I assure you, I am not moving them there, I am clicking attack. Why is this happening?

Could be by lag, also try patrol instead of direct send:
