I played Age of Empires back in the early 2000's and I just recently got back into playing it with the HD version from Steam. I've been playing that for a few months now.
Recently I learned that much of the AoE community is here on Voobly, so I set up an account. However, I am having some trouble figuring out how to use Voobly as a client to play AoE with other people. I've tried following the instructions on some help threads but I've not gotten anywhere.
I was wondering if anyone would mind helping me with TeamViewer, maybe? Someone who knows how to do the things that need to be done to set it up.

if you have the steam version, you need the patch to play at voobly. follow this tutorial for a good install: https://support.voobly.com/display/vkb/KB1054+Clean+installation+of+Aoe2HD+with+compatibility+patch
you need to make sure your pc firewall allows voobly and the game through.
