So when I run the diagnostic I get all successes until this one at the end (I copy pasted below). The problem is directplay is looking for my game at the wrong place. My steam and game are located in my d: drive. Is there a way to manually redirect directplay so it knows the correct path?

Scanning installed DirectPlay games...
Age of Empires II - The Conquerors Expansion [found]
Game was found in DirectPlay registry!
DirectPlay play thinks the game is installed at 'c:\program files (x86)\steam\SteamApps\common\Age2HD'
Checking if DirectPlay path matches non-DirectPlay path
Failure!

These directories should match.

Also, if you own the old CD game version, please uninstall it properly so you can follow the guide above in order to have one single installation detected.

Why doesn't it just let us choose our own path? I have multiple installations for a reason. Where is the DirectPlay path stored exactly?
