We will take as an example DE Balance:
- assuming we already uploaded the data(main mod) for the mod, we now want to add, for example spanish language
- we go to game mods to create a new one ( www.voobly.com/games/view/Age-of-Empires-II-The-Conquerors/Game-Mods/gamemods/browse2/13/100 )
- for TYPE: we select: Visual mod (or Local Mod)
- name: (for this example ) DE Balance Spanish
- Add mod
- Now we go in pc at where we have aoe2 installed:
aoe2/Voobly Mods/AOC/Local Mods/
- and we create a new folder ( for our example ) DE Balance Spanish
Now the Folder must have 2 files:
- version.ini ( must match with the version from the website for new mod)
- language.ini ( this one will contain the spanish language text)
We zip it and upload to voobly workshop website.
Once people download it and start the game, they will have the spanish language.
EXTRA: How people can disable it without removing the visual mod ?
host a room in lobby, at top of window you see File , Game, Help.
Go to Game -> Visual or Content Mods ->
Unmark the mod
I will edit later adding some pictures.
