I'm new at this, I'm using Advanced Genie Editor 2023.3.7 and it will not let me save any changes, even if its just one unit stat change. It brings up a prompt that says "unable to save file!" (attached) I have Age of Empires II and Age of Empires the Conquerors. Am I missing something? Do I need to use a different Game Genie version? I've looked everywhere for an answer and I can't seem to find one. Thank you for any help with this!

Just figured it out...all I needed to do was run program as administrator.....nevermind! lol

Yes, always run such tools with UAC > right-click > run as administrator, else you won't be able to write any files to any game location in %programfiles%. None of those tools are compatible with Windows 7 / 8 / 10 / 11.
