Hi Red_or_Dead,

Thank you for contacting us. What you are seeing there is the new player boost of the rating system. New players receive a multiplier for the first 16 games they play, meaning they gain/lose more points. This is to help them reach their real rating faster. Compare it to the placement matches in League of Legends.
