This happens quite a lot when trying to restore (8 player) 1.6 games: one person cannot join the game. The person just keeps on the trying to join game screen. Also if he tries launching the game again the same thing happens. To the people in the game it looks like they join for one second (name turns from yellow to green) but then it becomes yellow again very quickly.

Sometimes it works to make this person host, but often then another person cannot join the game.

the save game (i think one i receive from host and one i create my own?) and recording

The person who couldn't join was capeta, and when we made him host fathippo couldn't join (or other way around).

Looks like they found the needle in the haystack and now Romans can be added back. :)
