Hi, all,
Long-time fan of RS here, but I'm having a lot of trouble getting it running on Win 10.
I found advice online that recommended:
download this ddraw file [You must login to view link]
press Releases and get the first one you see
extract it to the roguespear.exe location
The compatibility settings I use are: run as windows 98,16bit,run as admin
go to the registry mine was located here:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Red Storm Entertainment\Rogue Spear
change Fullscreen to TRUE
find VideoResolution and put your desired resolution eg 1920x1080 or do it in game from the graphics menu
I've done everything in bold, but when it comes to "change Fullscreen to TRUE" I'm like...huh? In that directory entry there are no files to open, and no entries to change!
I also tried to use a YouTube video to get RS running in Win10, but in the opening seconds it cited a website that doesn't even exist any more.
Would anyone kindly be able to help me out with some pointers?
